Privacy
Reading this site needs no account. If you choose to sign in, this page explains what is kept, why, and how to have it removed. Last updated October 17, 2026.
What is kept when you sign in
- Your email address.
- Your name and profile picture, if you sign in with Google, or the name you choose to add on your account page.
- Which sign-in method you used (Google or an email link).
- A sign-in session, so the site remembers you for up to 30 days on that browser.
- Short-lived records that make sign-in safe: the one-time link we email you (valid 15 minutes, used once) and counters that limit how many sign-in emails can be requested. The counters hold only scrambled (hashed) versions of the email address or network address.
What is not kept
- Passwords. There are none; you sign in with Google or an emailed link.
- Google access tokens. Google tells us who you are; we do not store the keys to your Google account.
- Payment details. Nothing on the site takes payment through your account.
Why
To know who is signed in, so members can open the members-only pages (such as class materials and presentation decks), and to send you the sign-in link you asked for. Signing in does not subscribe you to any newsletter and is not used for marketing.
Who helps run it
- Google, for “Continue with Google”.
- Supabase, which hosts the member database (United States, West).
- Google Cloud, which hosts the website (United States, West).
- Resend, which delivers the sign-in emails.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. The services above handle it only to run the site for us.
Separately from signing in, the site uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages are used. The newsletter form on the home page is also separate: it is handled by Kit, and only subscribes you if you fill it in.
How long it is kept
Your account stays until you ask for it to be deleted. Sessions end after 30 days or when you sign out, and sign-in links expire after 15 minutes.
Ask for a copy, or for deletion
Email ping@ping-ai.com from the address you signed in with and say whether you want a copy of what is kept or your account deleted. Deleting your account removes your sessions and everything tied to it. Requests are handled as soon as practical; there is no fixed deadline.
