Reading or Writing machine-generated content makes me feel like a zombie
After I published my first two blogs from scratch, I felt alive. Then I stopped. I hope to come up with a next great idea to write. The thought of why not use AI to generate content for me keeps coming up. Then, that brought me from fulfillment to emptiness.
Using a second language to express oneself is a daunting task. When ChatGPT became widely available last year, I was like, "Oh, yes, that could be my cure-all pill to solve all my writing pain."
When I first learned the Multi-Agents System from Andrew Ng's Deeplearning.ai MOOC platform, CrewAI was one of the recommended courses I took. It was an exciting and lively learning experience, with the chapter index on the left panel, a live lab exercise in the central session with Jupiter Notebook, and a video lecture on the right side.
You can play the Python codes alone while watching the lecture. It's no problem to play, stop, and replay.
The first exercise is a blog generator; the system has three agents: researcher, writer, and editor. You prompt each agent with a good description of the role and task, then assemble them in a "Crew." Then, after you enter a topic, a well-written blog is produced for you to read and publish. However, after AI generated new content a few times, I felt something was missing.
After reading and watching a lot of "good advice" on blogs or YouTube, such as "Do this or do that in a few steps to become whatever you want to be," I became very aware of it. It makes me uneasy, especially when I smell stainless steel, like AI-generated content.
NO, I don't need more lectures. I need stories that touch our souls and resonate with the audience. If I don't want to consume those contents, why would I do it for my audiences, who, by and large, are my friends? I need stories that can agitate my emotions and make me alive.
One thing you will never want to delegate to IA is what you want to feel. If that happened in the future, how would it be different from Zombie?
